Small group classes are more economical and are a natural fit for families learning together, for children, and for company teams who want to build Mandarin skills alongside colleagues. Group Mandarin classes run with a minimum group size, which our team confirms when you enquire, so a class is never so large that individual attention is lost.
A curriculum that means something
Whatever the format, MOON Academy teaches to the official HSK scale, which runs from HSK 1 (absolute beginner) to HSK 6 (advanced). Beginners start at HSK 1 with the sounds and tones of Mandarin, pinyin, and their first practical phrases; continuing learners are placed at the level that matches what they already know after a short conversation with our Principal Teacher. Because progress is anchored to HSK, an employer, a school or a university reads your level the same way we do.
Your first lesson sets the foundation rather than easing in slowly. A beginner leaves it able to produce and understand something they could not before; a continuing learner leaves it with a confirmed level and a clear plan for the sessions ahead. From there, each 45-minute lesson builds on the last, working through the total number of sessions agreed for your course.
How it works

Lessons run face-to-face at an agreed location in Abu Dhabi, at a weekly time kept the same each week so it fits around work or school.
Every lesson is 45 minutes. You take one to three sessions a week depending on your goal; intensive HSK preparation can run more.
Classes follow the official HSK levels, so your progress is measured against an internationally recognised standard.
Companies and teams
We also run corporate and business Chinese training in person for organisations in Abu Dhabi, scheduled around the working day. Content is built around your team's real needs — client relationships, travel to China, or working with Mandarin-speaking colleagues — rather than a generic syllabus. In-person classes are priced on the total number of 45-minute sessions, the delivery format, and any group discount.
